RAC (The Remix Artist Collective) was started in 2007 by André Allen Anjos. Since then, they have used the songs of artists ranging from Radiohead to The Shins. Their newest track, “Take It Easy” is taken from Surfer Blood’s 2010 debut album Astro Coast. RAC say that they don’t like to make the types of remixes you would hear in a club. Instead, they strive to “embody a unique aesthetic based around emotion and nuance, an almost intangible warmth and innate playfulness.” RAC’s next full collection won’t be out until March 4th, but they will be releasing new tracks everyday until then.
